Winter Break Ruined!?

This year, I WAS very excited for winter break until I came across this awful ruining of winter break. Teachers are now giving us all of these lame projects that are just ruining our whole break. So this year for a christmas present, teachers are giving us all of these super long assignments which is totally unfair. I’m just speaking out THE TRUTH. But this Christmas, it certainly wont be a merry christmas for me. Can these teachers give us a break? And who ever heard of a stupid project in P.E? Thats just going to far. I have a math, hum and p.e project to do! This sucks because other kids around Alameda get a So-called “Break” and what exactly do we get? Tons and TONS of projects! I’m pretty sure we just have to get an education but seriously? One of my friends barely has any homework this break. But this is really a message to all teacher?: “Can we please gets drop our pencils/pens and have a LITTLE fun for once please??? This is horrible so stop! I’m speaking out the truth ask other kids how they feel because this year we want a REAL vacation.

McDonalds: Good or your health

Millions of people around the world enjoy the #1 fast food menu in the world. But do they know exactly what they eat? It's a food everyone enjoys form time to time or just every week... maybe every day. Many people get overweight from these many food topics in this popular restaurant and my question why? By researching this topic I just might be able to explain: This type of food is unhealthy because of the high amounts of sugar and sodium in their food. This food is processed and frozen, it is filled with calories and fat which some people mostly ignore. But surprisingly I've even heard that the salads are unhealthy! But to me thats very hard to believe but according to what people are saying, McDonalds does however have a HEALTHY food selection which is pretty good for some people to begin with. But I'm not avoiding Mcdonalds, I'm clearly pointing something out. So have a treat ONCE in a while and watch out for what you eat.

Dreams Fulfilled

Some people don't believe in what I want to be because they don't think I can make it to the top. I want to be many things in life but it's hard to concentrate on what you really want to be when others say you can't do it. I for one just can't give up. I think dreams are what make life seem real, imagining something more than what you are. You see someone on the street and think sometimes "Wow, that person wont succeed". But maybe ten years later you may see that person and they could be a millionaire. Lady Gaga turned her life around after drugs and all that but she did what she loved best and look where she is today. I think believing in your dreams helps you go where you want to be in life which is very important. Nobody should stop you because your dreams are your life. It's something everyone should experience in life because a dream can be more than just a dream. It comes to life.

Thanksgiving Soon!

For this holiday, its practically my favorite. I really enjoy Thanksgiving because for me, its a combination of all my favorite food. But this year before Thanksgiving, I want to explore what other Cultures do on this very special holiday so this is a fun topic to research and talk about. Not every culture has the same foods or the same way of celebrating. I think Thanksgiving is really fun and enjoyable but its really hard to wait before you eat because then you get really hungry. I've learned about this holiday all my life. But the one thing that sometimes bothers me is when it's November and commercials, adds and street signs all talk about Christmas. Have people forgotten this important holiday? I would think not becuase Christmas is almost here and thats a holiday everyone loves the most. To those reading this blog, I wish you a happy Thanksgiving! Be thankful for the family and friends around you.

"The Help" By Kathryn Stockett

I have just finished a great and awesome book called "The Help". The characters are very detailed and described. This book offers a point of view of the maids from Jackson Mississippi how life is working for the white people which was very hard for them. Like Aibileen, (Main character) is very understanding and know taking care of her 17th white child. Minny AKA Aibileens best friend, stands up for her rights even though she has an attitude on her mouth. Miss Skeeter is a wrier, one of the most nicest characters in the book and lives with her ill mother. The character I absolutely don't like is mean Miss Hilly. She is very racist and always mean to the maids, especially Aibileen which just discusses me because she s just a horrible person but arleast a good mother to her children. Miss Leefolt who doesn't even care about her own children and mean to her daughter Mae Moebly. I would highly suggest this book to anyone because it will make you want to read it over and over again. The movie that was released over the summer was fantastic! All my thanks to Kathryn Stockett for making a phenomenal book and showing a true side.

Puppies!

I think the most wonderful thing a person could actually have in this world is a best friend you can count on. What about a reliable pet? I think dogs are the most loyal pets you can have in the world. And of coarse they never make you feel bad about yourself because their always right there when you need them. I have a dog myself his name is so cute! It's a great name so when I got him, his name was Little Charlie. (Cocker Spaniel) He is absolutely adorable!  Dogs have a good sense of what people are feeling because they know whats wrong. I think enjoying the love and attention your dog gives you everyday, you will get even more love from them. They are full of so much energy that will last a life time, just running around enjoying the new wonders of their own surroundings. They listen to you so ALWAYS make sure to listen to them to. They need you as much as you need them. They are the ones who really want to have attention which is the love you can give to them.

Marketing

To me, many companies are marketing their products. Most likely technology. When ever you buy the newest thing in stores, it's like the next day they have something bigger and better and saying you should forget about what product you just bought and get the newest (expensive) thing. Now apple is a great company and they will usually always provide their NEW technology and they have pretty good stuff that makes you want to go out there and buy it. (Always) It can be a pretty good example of marketing. The stuff they have is pretty high tech so I guess I shouldn't blame them for the prices. Adds will always help because it convinces people to but the product and what good use they can get out of it. Marketing is a way to make more money which is basically their action of business. This is why we should enjoy the present today and enjoy what we have tomorrow.

The Future!

It's almost 2012 which means a new year. Anything new gonna happen? I wish for a better future because even though we have computers, cell phones and other devices, people still need more technology. Is there anyone who is trying to think of a bigger, brighter future for all of us? To create flying cars and teleportation and other neat stuff. I for one think that the future sometimes does not have to depend on flying cars and fancy technology because it's about creating a new day for all of us and to see the things we want to happen. There are a lot of smart people in this world who can possibly make this all come to life, we all are. The people who are willing to make a future are the people who ARE the future. Our future is about decisions and the things we want to do life and become the next person to make a difference. Though it would be pretty cool to see the technology side of the future...

The 90's are ALL THAT!

The 90's are back! Impossible you say? Well our REAL childhood is back! Do you remember running home from school just to sit down and watch your favorite cartoons? Now a days kid's just rush home to sit around and do nothing. Of coarse I do not agree with that. Nobody really sees humor in these new dull, boring cartoons so what to do? Teen nick has come up with this idea to bring back all these TV shows from the 90's for people to watch their net work and I have to say it did work. Shows like Hey Arnold!, All That, The Amanda Show etc. Everything that make's us re-Join our childhood instead of stressing about the other little things in life. But the people want more than just waiting until 8:00 at night to watch only four of their favorite shows. We don't want it to end, even though it already has... We need more creative writers to entertain us and make us laugh. So go back and watch the 90's appear before your very eyes because some things just might change...

Spongebob (The old & The New)

On May 1, 1999, Nickelodeon released the first pilot episode of the cartoon series "Spongebob Squarepants". This show has been entertaining children for at least more than 12 years, but what has happened to the characters, plots and the Bikini Bottom we used to know? Everything has changed because watching the show today makes no sense, I believe that all of the characters personality's have changed in some annoying way but how does this show manage to stay on the air for so long? Is it the crude humor that make kids want to watch it even more? Not only is it spongebob, but look at all the other TV shows that went from BAD to WORSE. Compare the old episodes to the new episodes and tell me that there is a big difference in almost everything. Do the makers of this show think the kids want this kind of unfunny humor? I've laughed multiple times watching previous seasons of Spongebob but who's laughing now? This isn't the kind of show I want to watch anymore, this is a show that brings only tears to audiences all around the world. In my eyes, I still believe in this happy yellow sponge.
